This is not a typical brand shoot.

You'll be on Salt Spring Island, in Mel's kitchen, filming the real thing, the family who brews every batch, the ingredients that come in fresh, the founder who started this company in 2012 to heal herself and built it into a nationally distributed brand.

About Moonshine Mama's

Moonshine Mama's is a women-founded, family-run turmeric elixir company brewed by hand on Salt Spring Island, BC. Founded by Mel in 2012 after a Stage 3 cancer diagnosis led her back to nature and her own kitchen, our elixirs are now stocked in Thrifty Foods, Save on Foods, Safeway, Fortino's, and independent health stores across Canada.

We are a real family making a real product with a real story. And we need someone who can help us show that.

The Role

We know the stories we want to tell. We have the content calendar, the captions, and the direction.

We need someone who can show up, capture what's real, and edit it into content that makes people stop scrolling.

Working directly with Mel and our brand manager, you'll join scheduled content sessions on Salt Spring Island, capture photo and video, and deliver polished assets ready to post.

What You'll Do

• Attend 1–2 content creation days per month on Salt Spring Island
• Film and photograph products, production, recipes, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
• Capture founder-led content and storytelling videos with Mel
• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Edit and organize photos for social media and marketing use
• Deliver finished assets on agreed timelines
• Keep an organized library of raw and edited content

What We're Looking For

• Strong short-form video skills — you know how to make a Reel that stops the scroll
• Solid photography eye for product and lifestyle content
• Comfortable filming authentic, unscripted moments — this brand is real, not staged
• Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or similar
• Reliable and self-directed, we don't need to chase you for deliverables
• Able to travel to Salt Spring Island for content days (transportation required)

Bonus:

• Experience with food, beverage, wellness, or lifestyle brands
• Drone footage capability
• Graphic design skills
• Experience working with founder-led or personal brands

What You'll Get

• Rate: $25-$45 per hour depending on experience
